The Fujifilm X-T5 and Fujifilm X-E5 are Fujifilm APS-C bodies from different lines — the X-T and the X-E. The X-E5 is the newer of the two, arriving in 2025. Both launched at 1,699 USD.
On paper the X-T5 is the stronger body of the two. It gives you 15 fps continuous shooting, a 3.69M-dot electronic viewfinder, and 580-shot battery life, with a few smaller wins on top of that.
The X-E5 isn't far behind. It hits back with a lighter 445g body.

There is no image-quality argument here. Both bodies use the 40.2 MP X-Trans V sensor with X-Processor 5, both have 7-stop in-body stabilization, both do 6K/30 with F-Log2, both have AI subject detection over 425 points, and both launched at 1,699 USD. The X-E5 carries the newer film simulation set, REALA ACE included. Everything that separates them is ergonomics and endurance.
The X-T5 is the traditional shape: centred 3.69M-dot viewfinder, deep grip, shutter and ISO dials, weather sealing, two SD UHS-II slots, and the NP-W235 battery for 580 shots. The X-E5 is the flat rangefinder shape: 2.36M-dot finder in the corner, a film simulation dial on top, one card slot, no sealing, and 310 shots from the smaller NP-W126S. It is 445g against 557g, and it disappears in a jacket pocket in a way the X-T5 never will.
The X-T5 shoots 15 fps to the X-E5's 8, and the sealing means rain, dust, and cold stop being a reason to leave it at home. If you are paid to come back with the photos, the second card slot and the bigger battery are not luxuries.
Same price, same pictures, so buy the shape you will actually carry. The X-E5 is the better street and travel camera and the more fun object to own. The X-T5 is the better working camera. If you cannot decide, ask whether you have ever been annoyed by a camera being too big — if the answer is yes, that is your answer.
